Bill described the project:

1. The fibreglass pole and yardarm were installed in 1999;

2. Our club invested nearly a thousand dollars for materials ...including a beautiful engraved plaque;

3. The Yarmouth Park District erected the pole gratis. They also set the granite boulder in place, mounted the plaque and landscaped the area. They continue maintaining the site, including a new US flag every year;

4. The location is 3 miles north of Mid Cape Highway at Exit 8 (Station Ave). Parking is free.
